Kent State Students Charged with Stealing from Kohl's: Police Blotter

All information is according to Stow Police and Stow Municipal Clerk of Courts. Arrest information does not indicate conviction.

Two Kent women have been charged with stealing from the Stow Kohl's.

Charmaine D. Gary, 19, of 1300 Petrarca Drive, and Shaneece Green, of 25 Midway Drive, were arrested by Stow Police after employees at the department store reported seeing them conceal clothes and leave the story without paying for the items.

The women stole more than $130 in clothing on April 27, according to police.

The women, both of whom are students at Kent State University, were charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Gary, a Warren, OH, native, also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, both minor misdemeanors, after police found a marijuana pipe and baggie of marijuana on her.

Green, a Georgia native, pleaded not guilty to the theft charge Friday before Stow Municipal Court Judge Kim Hoover.

Gary pleaded not guilty to all three charges Friday.

Well, I'm sure they can't afford tuition and clothes. Should have shopped at Walmart.
