Kent Police Hiring New Officer, Dispatcher

Written exams and testing are scheduled this winter and spring.

The Kent Civil Service Commission recently announced a competitive exam will be held to hire a new Kent police officer, according to www.kentpd.org. 

The written exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at 9 a.m. at Kent State University's Bowman Hall, Room 133.

The physical fitness test will be Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Kent State University Field House. (Click here for the announcement.)

Applications can be picked up at the Kent Police Department, the Civil Service Office or can be downloaded here.

Police dispatcher job opening

The Commission will also hold an exam to fill a Kent police clerk dispatcher position.

The written exam will be Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at a to-be-announced location. The audio exam will be Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at a to-be-announced location. (Click here for the announcement.

Applications can be picked up at the Kent Police Department, the Civil Service Office or can be downloaded here.

Applications for each position must be returned to the Civil Service Commission, 221 E. Summit St.
