Kent Police Arrest 21 at Halloween Festivities

A clear but chilly night brought huge crowds downtown Saturday

arrested 21 people during Halloween festivities in downtown Kent Saturday night, NewsChannel 5 reported.

That figure is about half those arrested last year, when police arrested 47 people on charges ranging from underage drinking to disorderly conduct. This year's figure excludes those arrested on campus by police, who last year arrested 53 people.

The clear skies attracted throngs downtown, and bars from 9 p.m. well past midnight.
