Kent Man Dies after Motorcycle Crash
Kory J. Lafferty died Wednesday following Saturday crash in Rootstown
A Kent man has died following injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Rootstown Township.
Kory J. Lafferty, 26, died Wednesday at Akron City Hospital following a crash on Tallmadge Road Saturday night, according to the Ravenna post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Lafferty was driving eastbound on Tallmadge Road just before 9 p.m. Saturday when the driver of a truck traveling westbound turned left into a residential driveway in front of Lafferty's motorcycle, according to the highway patrol.

Lafferty, who was not wearing a helmet, struck the right side of the truck and was ejected from his motorcycle. The crash remains under investigation.
This is the eighth traffic fatality in Portage County so far in 2012 and the third involving a motorcycle.
