Kent Man Charged with Assaulting Police Officer: Police Blotter

The case of a Kent man charged with assaulting a police officer has been bound over for review by the Portage County grand jury.

Kent Police charged Anthony W. Repasky, 21, of 3586 Sunnybrook Road, with assaulting a police officer, a fourth-degree felony, after an early morning incident in downtown Kent.

Police arrested Repasky just before 3 a.m. on July 7 outside Stone Tavern.

Repasky is charged with assaulting Kent Police officer Josh Nelson, according to the original criminal complaint filed in Portage County Municipal Court.

He was released on bond July 19, and his case has since been bound over for review in Portage County Common Pleas Court by the grand jury, which will likely consider indictment on the charge.
