State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating early morning fire

One person is dead following an early morning fire on Kent's west side.

The fire started at about 1:30 a.m. this morning at 760 W. Main St., a multi-unit condominium complex.

No information about the victim was available this morning.

Kent Fire Capt. Dave Manthey said the Ohio Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire, which is of an undetermined nature.

Manthey said he could not provide any further information because of the fire marshal's investigation.

"Any further information, the state fire marshal is investigating it," Manthey said.
