Drunken Driving Checkpoint Planned This Week

The county where the checkpoint will be set up will not be announced until the day prior to the operation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol sent out a press release Monday morning notifying the public that state troopers will conduct a drunken driving checkpoint sometime this week.

The county where the checkpoint will be set up will be announced the day before and the exact location will be announced the morning of the checkpoint.

"If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don't let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired," the patrol said in a prepared statement.
