Bike trail bridge.

What has happened to progress on the bike trail bridge? Seems to be stopped.

Millions for parks and hike and bike trails but not one cent for many other forms of recreation such as swimming or golf. What's THAT all about? Anybody else care?

How many golf courses does this poor planet need?

Your question begs the issue, Mary. My issue is that you get your pleasure at taxpayer expense. I don't, and neither do swimmers. I would have no problem if you paid to use the trails. Is that too much to ask?

Walking and riding a bike are forms of transportation. Maybe you should pay a toll every time you pull your polluting vehicle onto the road. The road is paid for by tax payer dollars. Some of my dollars. Some of your dollars. I ride my bike. A LOT! You could walk/hike/ride your bike down trails that are starting to link everything together. Also, I am aware that bikes are permitted on the roads. As a bicyclist I am fully aware that most do not know or care that I, on my bicycle, am legally allowed on the road and am not to be run off into a ditch by some jerk in a hurry. Try riding your bike more. Or walking down a hike/bike path someday. "I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in." ~John Muir
