A Kent State University student has been laid to rest one week after being involved in .

Friends and family buried Rachael Carlina "Carli" Woodruff at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati Monday after the March 22 crash on Interstate 71 near Columbus that took her life.

She was killed when Joshua T. Morris, 32, of Streetsboro, "became distracted by his cell phone and lost control of his vehicle," according to the Delaware County Ohio Highway Patrol post. Morris crossed three lanes of traffic, the median and a rest-stop exit ramp before striking Woodruff's car. He was reportedly reaching for a cell phone charger.
