I called Kent cycle looking for a year end clearance on a Redline Monocog 29er. The 2014 bikes will be here any day. This shop is 2 hours from me. I get a salesman on the phone he says the bike is $549.00 and in stock. I verify the color of the bike to ensure it is a 2013 burnt orange bike and a 19 inch frame. He says "Yes" (The bike has a MSRP of $650), so I think it's a good year end deal. He clarify's it is the correct bike and again quotes $549. I get ready, I leave to buy the bicycle which is over 2 hours away and I call the shop back to ask for a cash discount on the drive. They save 3%. The salesman says he will check with the owner and call me back. Right before I get to the store he calls to tell me the bike is $625. Are you kidding me?. You should of honored the price quoted. I wasted time and gas to drive there. Do not buy here. That was bad business all the way around and a horrible thing to do to somebody.
