First Winter Market and Roosevelt Craft Fair Join Forces

Saturday, Nov. 5 is the first Haymaker Winter Farmers Market at Roosevelt High School, where there will also be the 11th annual Craft Fair.

This Saturday, Nov. 5, Haymaker’s first annual Winter Farmers Market joins forces with ’s 11th Annual Craft Show at the high school located at 1400 N. Mantua St. (S.R. 43) in Kent. 

The market runs from 9 a.m. to noon in the auditorium atrium on the North Mantua Street side of the building, with 25 vendors selling fresh local produce including salad greens, turnips, radishes, beets, winter squash, pie pumpkin, potatoes and garlic. Also available will be a variety of baked goods, including artisanal breads, vegan and gluten free pies, sweet breads, cookies and pretzels; jams and jellies; maple syrup; honey; locally roasted coffee (hot and beans), grassfed meats, eggs, and cheese; goat cheese; chips and salsa, grain salads, hummus, soups, and more. Free parking is available in the circular drive in front of the school or in the parking lots in back. 

Get a jump on holiday shopping while supporting Kent students at the craft show, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria and gymnasium with many new crafters, concessions, and a free children's area. All proceeds will support health career technologies and cosmetology student competitions. Craft show admission is $1 at the cafeteria doors or at the end of hallway between the auditorium and cafeteria.
