Free Range Free Lunch

Free Range Free Lunch this Saturday at Haymaker. Come see what SCRATCH, free range food is all about!

Who said there's no such thing as a free lunch?  This Saturday you do just that!  Come get a free lunch at Haymaker Farmers Market from 11-1 at 211 Cherry St. in Kent.  You can fill your bellies and learn all about SCRATCH, free range food.

You've probably been hearing a whole lot about us lately, and for good reason!  We have lots of loyal customers in our little community, because we are passionate about what we do, and we do it well, with a whole lotta heart.

SCRATCH, free range food is the baby of Katrina P. Kohout, of Salt of the Earth Farm and Catering.  We have been the meat, egg, and prepared food vendor at Haymaker Market for the last 6 years or so, and we've made lots of friends in the process.   The catering gig has outgrown our little hot dog cart set up, and we've initiated a KickStarter Campaign to a full fledge mobile kitchen, in the form of a food trailer.  You can read about our adventure here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/421355105/scratch-taking-our-down-home-local-cooking-on-the

So here's the deal; we cook wholesome, locally farmed food to order.  Are you on a paleo, macro or raw diet?  Have food allergies?  Vegan or vegetarian?  We can cook for you and deliver to your door.  Our menu changes weekly, based on locally available products.  We use no corn syrup, MSG or preservatives.  All meats, eggs, and dairy are pasture raised.  Our veggies come from local organic farms, and our grains, beans and flours do too.

What we are offering are shares.  Those shares will fund the purchase of our gently used food trailer, and YOU will get the same amount of money you contribute back in the form of prepared food, delivered.  Our meals are very reasonably priced with full dinners coming in at about $8.  We can prepare meals ready to eat (local MRE's) for your freezer,  family style meals ready to pop into the oven to reheat, or hot meals ready to dive into.

We have just a few days left in this KickStarter.  Help us meet the goal and help small farms and your community in the process!
