Knitting for Those in Need yarn drive

Kent State University's Knitting for Those in Need student group is accepting donations of all kinds and colors of partial or whole skeins of clean yarn. The group makes warm items for local homeless shelters, social service organizations and others in need on campus. There are five drop-off locations in Kent: Scribbles Coffee Co., Last Exit Books, Einstein's Attic, The Laundry Basket (Kent Laundromat) and Logos Bookstore.

The group teaches knitting (needle, loom and crochet) so there is no experience necessary to join. Community, faculty, staff and students welcome.
