Kent Community TimeBank Informational Meeting

The MISSION of Kent Community TimeBank is to provide a system of exchange where individuals and groups with needs and wants are answered by members with services, skills and resources for the purpose of building community.

One HOUR = One Time Credit

It's that simple. ...And it's free to join.

************************************************

What is a timebank?  In a nutshell, when you do something you enjoy doing for someone else for one hour, you earn one Time Credit.  You may then spend that Credit on any of the hundreds of services offered in the timebank.

At this meeting, you will learn the concept of timebanking and the direction of our Kent Community TimeBank.  You will meet some members who are actively timebanking and how the timebank has enriched their lives.

For members of the timebank already: Are you still grappling with the notion of timebanking? Do you find it hard to make the time to timebank? Are you needing some loving guidance and assistance with the new Community Software? Are you talking the timebank up to your neighbors and want to give them more?

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, please come to one of these wonderful informational meetings. You will be re-inspired to timebank and you will meet some of the more active timebankers.

You will also get a great overview on how to use the software, how to find members and add or deduct Time Credits. We will have the website up, live and running and can answer all of your questions. Feel free to bring your laptop as the library provides wi-fi!

This meeting also will serve as your orientation so once you've attended the meeting, we will get you activated that very night!
