G.R.A.N.D. stands for “Guardians Raising and Nurturing Dependents.” The G.R.A.N.D. Support Group exists to provide information and support to any Kinship Caregivers that wish to be involved. A Kinship Caregiver is a person who has taken a child or children who are not their own into their home to raise; legal custody is not required in order to be considered a Kinship Caregiver. Kinship Caregivers can be grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even close family friends of the children/families they are helping.
