2011 Fall Fest and Bark Booo-nanza

The Aurora Parks & Recreation, Freedom Greyhound Rescue and Aurora One Fund present the 2011 Fall Festival at Sunny Lake Park.  The event features Pioneer Village & Bark Booo-nanza.  Free Admission.  On Saturday, events include doggie games, contests:  best kissker, best trick and best tail wagger.  Sunday hours are 12:00 - 6 pm.  On Sunday there is a 2 mile walk and pooch trick-or-treat.  Walk resigtration is from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm and there is a $5.00 registration fee per dog.  All registered dogs will receive a boo treat bag and the walk begins at 1:30 pm.  The Sunday costume contest begines at 1:00 pm.  Contest categories include:  scariest, funniest, creative, owners & dogs look-a-like and best theme.  Please visit the Friends of the Pound booth there and look for great adoptable dogs from the Portage Dog Warden & Shelter.  Check out our adoptable dogs at www.petfinder.com and put in OH184 for the shelter number. 

All weekend - visit Pioneer Village - including Civil War exhibits, demonstrations, petting zoo, crafters, hay rides, hay maze, pony rides and scarecrow-making.
