11/11/11 Women 4 Women Fundraiser

Women 4 Women (W4W) invites to join them for a fun evening in downtown Kent at a trendy new location on 11/11/11. Thanks to Jeff and Matt Guska, co-managers of the 157 Lounge, this new “martini bar” will be the site for the fundraiser on November 11.

W4W, a small group from the Kent and surrounding area, is dedicated to supporting girls and women in under developed countries through education. The group has been raising money to support scholarships for high school and university-bound girls in Cambodia who would otherwise be unable to attend school.

Countless studies have shown that improving the level of education for girls in lesser developed countries increases economic development and stability for the whole country. Beyond that, young girls like Teum Sin and Kim Nan, two intelligent and hardworking girls from the Sandan District, overcome many challenges to pursue their education.
