the deadbeats of comedy tour at the stone tavern
The Deadbeats of Comedy Tour, also known as Bubbs Harris (Pensacola, FL)
and J.C. Ratliff (Knoxville, TN), have decided that 2014 will be the
year of the Deadites, as they take their show on the road once again, only this
time they are going farther, deeper and harder than ever before. After a
successful couple of runs through the Southeast in 2013, the D.O.C. plan on
bringing their high energy brand of “Punk Rock Comedy” to every city that will
have them in 2014. The Southeast is up first again in January, with shows in
Nashville, Atlanta and even Dothan, AL (Bubbs grew up there and hasn‘t been
back in years. That should be interesting), as well as many more, before
heading North for a run through Pennsylvania and Ohio, so far.
Both comedians are coming off of stellar years. J.C.
got his new album put together and ready to release soon, as well as running
several mics around Knoxville in between touring. Bubbs remained busy
throughout 2013, reviving a room (Big Easy Tavern) for comedy in Pensacola, FL,
which has now become one of the biggest comedy shows on the Gulf Coast. He also
racked up shows with the likes of Brian Posehn, Ryan Singer, Alex
Koll, Pauly Shore, Jarrod Harris, Morgan Preston and more, as
well as releasing his new album “Reign in Bubbs” on Southeast
Noise Records. Both men figure the time is now for a full on assault of the
United States on the Deadbeats of Comedy Tour. Nothing personal, just
business. It just so happens that these guys’ business is making people laugh, ….
HARD! These guys are among the best that the underground comedy scene has to
offer, and they will be joined by mad men, and women, from each city they stop
in for amazing shows filled with awesomeness.
