Community Corner

Spring 2014 12-Hour Knit-A-Thon sponsored by Knitting for Those in Need!

Knitting for Those in Need (KTN) is hosting a 12 Hour Knit-a-thon, Friday, February 28th, at the KSU Library’s 4th floor lounge, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Everyone is welcome including non-knitters and knitters, students, staff, faculty, and community!

Knitting for Those in Need, KSU student organization, is dedicated to warm heads, warm necks and warm hearts for people in need.

KTN knits items including hats and scarves for local homeless shelters, social service organizations, as well as additional needs in the city of Kent and on campus.

Yarn and tools are provided however yarn donations are especially welcome.  We will provide simple instructions to knit a hat on a hand-held loom. It takes no more than 15 minutes to learn! We welcome needle knitting, crochet knitting and loom knitting.

Feel free to come when you can and leave when you need.
