Joe Culley art show opening in Canton OH

Windows- A show of new work from painter and tabla
delight Joe Culley. Show opens Sept. 21st. Artist reception Sept. 28th, 6-9pm.

This show is a small visual snippet of how Joe Culley
sees mystery felt through visual meditation. He utilizes a variety of visual
genre as a means of expressing his witnessing mystery experiences through what
he calls his "windows." He describes these "windows" in
terms of a literal, metaphorical and spiritual framing of mystery seen and
unseen. "The paper and wooden panels in which the art is made upon has the
built in limitations of width, length and a minuscule amount of
depth, therefore it is a frame, a window to take a peek so to speak. I created
these ‘windows’ to take a view beyond what is contained in these physical
limitations by creating a focal target for visual meditation, placing me and
hopefully you beyond the observed and into the undefined dimensions of
stillness, silence and peacefulness."
