Kent State Fashion School, Habitat for Humanity Partner for Annual Fashion Show

The Kent State University Fashion School's Fall 2012 Fashion Show Productions class and Habitat for Humanity present the fourth annual fashion show “Restore the Runway!” on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 8-10 p.m. at the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The fashion show will demonstrate how students redesign and restore garments using construction and design elements. For the show, the fashion visuals class was challenged to work in groups to construct two fashion looks using items from the Habitat for Humanity Restore store located in Kent. More than 100 garments will walk the runway.

Tickets cost $10 and will be available at the door. Proceeds will go toward building houses in Portage County, the Habitat for Humanity Restore store in Kent, and to other work sites and for supplies.
