International Survivors of Suicide Day

Searching to connect with others who have experienced the loss of someone to suicide? Join us Saturday, November 17, from 12:45 pm to 3 pm for the International Survivors of Suicide Day at Coleman Access in Ravenna, Ohio. Thousands of survivors across the world will watch a 90-minute broadcast  produced by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org). A diverse panel of survivors and mental health professionals will talk about their experiences and address the questions many survivors ask. After the broadcast, the group will have a discussion. Participants are free to take part or just listen. The event is free. The sponsors are the Portage County Suicide Prevention Coalition, Coleman Professional Services and the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County. Like the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County on Facebook to learn more about the panelists during the weeks leading up to the event. Call 330-673-1756 to pre-register. Walk-ins are welcome. Parking is available.
