Community Corner

AMIGOS Information Session

Amigos de las Americas
(AMIGOS) is an international nonprofit organization that builds young leaders
through cross cultural community development and immersion experiences in Latin
America. Through AMIGOS summer programs, high school and college
students spend 4-8 weeks living in host communities and volunteering with
projects related to public health, human rights, education, and the
environment. The Ohio Chapter of
AMIGOS is based in Kent and has been preparing local volunteers for their
summer experiences in Latin America for over 30 years.  Parents and
students are invited to attend this information session to learn more about
AMIGOS programs in Latin America.
