3rd Annual Paws for a Cause Dog Walk

The
Portage Council for the Prevention of Violence (PCPV)is hosting
its 3rd Annual “Paws for a Cause” walk to
acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

 The Portage
Council for the Prevention of Violence is happy to announce that the Paws for a
Cause walk will be held in conjunction with the Townhall 2 Women’s Health Fair.

 The event
will be held on Saturday, September 28th at Wingfoot State Park, we will begin
at 10am.  This event is open to the
public and we encourage those in attendance to bring their dogs for a fun walk
that will feature information about domestic violence and demonstrate ways in
which participants can be advocates for a safer community.   All participating dogs will receive a pet
bandana and dog treats.

 All walkers
are encouraged to walk through the Lakefront Pavilion where Townhall 2 will be
hosting the Women’s Health Fair.   There
will be several booths to visit.

 In place of a
registration fee of $10 per walker PCPV will be accepting donations at the “Paws
for a Cause” walk.  The donations will
help PCPV purchase purple string lights that will be hung in Downtown Kent
Businesses to promote Domestic Violence Awareness in October.
