12th Annual Chili Challenge

Kent Roosevelt High School
Bridges Academy will be presenting their 12th annual Chili Challenge

4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., an open invitation is extended to the community to
enjoy chili from variety of cooks and chefs.

The Chili Challenge is an annual
event that is put on by the Bridges Academy of Theodore Roosevelt High School.
All are invited to taste chili from various community members to multiple
Roosevelt clubs, sports, and educational departments and from local businesses

Proceeds will directly benefit
The Miller Community House in Kent, Ohio. The Miller Community House is a
homeless shelter that has been serving the needs of Portage County since 2003.
In an average year the Miller House serves as a home for an average of 103
people. They are constantly in need of funds, especially in a time where the
economy limits people from donating money.

Theodore Roosevelt Bridges
Academy encourages the community to not only come, but to actively participate
by submitting and creating their chili recipes. By completing a registration
form and sending in $10 by October 16th, the registered person or
group will be in the running for “People’s Choice”, “Judge’s Choice”, “Best
Community Entry”, and for the “Best Decorated Table”.  So spice up your chili and your presentation!
