Reader's Choice: Best Fish Fries in Kent

With the Lenten season in full swing, folks are lining up to observe the month-long religious tradition — and for many that means trading red meat for fish in Friday meals

To mark the season, Kent Patch's inaugural "Reader's Choice" contest features area fish fries.

So here's how it works: We'll ask you for nominations, and then we'll list some of the nominations in a poll that will go up on Wednesday. Once our poll posts, you can cast your vote by clicking on the fish fry of choice and going to that church or business's directory listing and writing a review in the comments section.

You'll have until 9 a.m. Friday to write a review and cast your vote. We'll tally the votes and comments/reviews, and by Friday afternoon we'll announce the winner of the Kent Patch Reader's Choice fish fry.

So, to recap:

• Make sure to vote by writing a review and voting in the poll by 9 a.m. Friday.
• Kent Patch Editor Matt Fredmonsky will decide the winner by the number of votes and quality of reviews on each nominee’s listing.
• No nasty reviews, please.
• We will announce the winner at noon Friday.
