Dog Reunited with Family after Story on Kent Patch

The black lab had been missing since Oct. 1

A black lab that had been missing since Oct. 1 was reunited with its family Monday thanks to a story on Kent Patch .

Compliance Officer Dana Frazier said the dog was found running loose in the area of Fairchild Avenue and Silver Meadows earlier this month and, as a result, was put in the city's kennel.

The dog, a male, had been kept long enough at the kennel without being claimed that he was put up for adoption.

That's when Kent Patch wrote a story about the dog being put up for adoption. Fortunately, the story alerted the owner to the dog's whereabouts.

Frazier said the owner saw the dog on Kent Patch and came in to claim it Monday — the same day the story ran.
