Several of the establishments listed are merely glorified fast food joints - not restaurants - and a couple are not "in" Kent. My guess is the average age of the respondents is about 18. If one were to properly classify "restaurants" and more thoroughly review the demographics of respondents, my guess is that Laziza, Pufferbelly , The Bistro on Main, and The Rusty Nail (I know it's not in Kent) would probably be very high on the list. And yes, I do have an indirect interest in one of these but my guess is that many of the other respondents have similar, if not, direct interests in some establishments that did make your list.

They all have the same zip code, so to an outsider, they are ALL in Kent. Take a chill pill.

I agree with you, Ron. Most of these establishments cater to 'eat and run' meals, not a casual unhurried atmosphere. They may be great, but Pufferbelly is #1 on MY top ten.

A "restaurant" is any establishment that serves food and drink regardless of how fast it is, if it constitutes a formal meal, or even if on-site dining is available. The only one on the list that's not in the city limits is Guaca Mole's and that's in Franklin Township within the Franklin-Kent JEDD (less than a mile from the boundary with Kent), on top of having a Kent mailing address, Kent phone number, and being in the Kent City School District.

My Body Mass Index (32.7) might indicate to some that I spent some time in a restaurant or two and my top three dollar to donuts would be Ray's, Bistro and Newdle Bar

To each his own I guess.... I've really enjoyed my meals at Pufferbellies over the last few years. I'd give them 4-5 stars on food and the service was excellent as well.

Fresco? 3rd best burritos in town, at best (not even including Mexican restaurants). And more expensive.

Hmmm...reading through Yelp's recent Bistro reviews, I think I need to revisit my list (and revisit the restaurant)...also, I forgot Cajun Dave's which is definitely in the top five for their weekly pork smoking. They tell me Bricco will fill that "fine dining" need we have in Kent. I'll believe it when I taste it.

Go taste for yourself, Laurel!! They have a location downtown Akron and it's fabulous! Great valet parking so you don't have to fight for a spot!
