Parking Closed on North Water While Mill Changes Dock

Four spaces are closed while construction ensues on mill loading dock

Four parking spaces on North Water Street are closed for an indeterminate amount of time while construction ensues at Star of the West Milling of Ohio.

The spaces are on the east side of North Water Street near 227 N. Water St.

Across the street, Star of the West is , which faces east and forces parked, full-sized truck trailers to occupy one lane of North Water Street while loading and unloading. As a result, cars headed south on Water Street occassionally have to make a blind turn into oncoming traffic to get around the trucks.

After the dock work is finished trucks should no longer occupy a portion of the street.

Red Michel, manager of Star of the West, said previously the mill is hopeful to finish the work possibly by the end of the first quarter of this year.
