Kent Displays' Boogie Board is Making Waves in Vegas

Kent Displays/Improv Electronics is catching some national headlines this week for its Boogie Board Rip eWriter, which the firm is showcasing at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
CEO Dr. Albert Green said in a pre-show press release that his Kent-based firm closed out 2011 with exceptional sales and a record-breaking holiday season.
“We are thrilled to kick off the New Year with an interactive hands-on exhibit, and our first appearance, at the renowned International Consumer Electronics Show," Green said.

The show opened Tuesday and runs through Friday.
“Our presence at CES, coupled with the exponentially growing popularity of our products and the recent launch of the Boogie Board Rip eWriter, the first model that saves, proves that Boogie Board eWriters have truly arrived as a unique product segment within the consumer electronics industry,” he added.

- Fox 8 News in Cleveland says Kent Displays is "making a big splash" at the electronics show. The online story features a short video clip of the company's booth and several employees at the show.
- The website slashgear.com says “whether you have a Boogie Board for your kids or to save space and paper in your office you wont want to miss the new RIP ...an awesome tool for the office and many other scenarios."
- Las Vegas professor Dr. Frank Viggiano Jr. chose the Boogie Board as one of his "today's picks for top electronics products from CES" for a TV segment on mynews3.com. "I love this product ... it's really cool," Viggiano says in the video.
- The website Liliputing.com posted a youtube video about the Boogie Board shot at the electronics show. During the piece, the online reporter writes "coolest thing at CES" on a Boogie Board.
- Connected Magazine highlights the Boogie Board as "cream of the crop in gadgetry to add ease to your life" in its electronics show-based reporting.
- The website A Mom's Take features a product review of the Boogie Board stating that it "really is cool how you can write on it over and over and erase with a simple press of a button. It feels really smooth and nice to write on and I have even tried it a few times for quick lists and doodling!"
- Geekalerts.com also reviewed the product and said users can "save the environment, one page at a time, by using gizmos like the Boogie Board Rip."
