Select local and national chains offer discounts for the family

Great prices don't discriminate between small local restaurants and corporate giants. Our deals this week prove that.

Here are some inexpensive meals for you at the counters of local operations as well as one national chain.

Featuring specials seven days a week, including wing discounts on two separate days. This local restaurant chain has four stores in the area, with the closest in Stow. They also have live music on Thursdays and karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays.

Housed in a historic Kent train station built in 1875, this local restaurant features random daily specials and a wide variety of sandwiches, entrees and appetizers at reasonable prices. The building, formerly owned by the Atlantic & Great Western Railroad Company, has an antique decor suitable for casual or formal dining. What really puts this restaurant ahead of the competition, though, is the area's premier Sunday Brunch.

Deal: Sunday Brunch $12.95 Adults, $6.95 Children. Buffet includes homemade breads & muffins, bacon & sausage, potatoes & vegetables, salad, fruit, omelettes & waffles made-to-order, eggs Benedict, fish, chicken, pork, rice & pasta and dessert.

Good Through: Every Sunday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. until further notice. 

3. T.G.I. Fridays

Owned by Carlson Restaurants, a global hospitality and travel company, they have over 900 stores in 61 countries. Credited with inventing the Loaded Potato Skin, they also once employed current American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres. The closest restaurant is in Stow.

Deals: Endless Lunch for $6.99 including all-you-can-eat soup, salad, bread sticks and beverage.
