Charlotte Varney started as a barista when Tree City Coffee & Pastry opened on Erie Street.

Today we talk to her about her move up the ladder at the popular new coffee shop.

Kent Patch: What's your name?
Charlotte Varney.

Patch: And where do you work?
Varney: Tree City Coffee & Pastry.

Patch: What's your job?
Varney: Assistant general manager, full-time.

Patch: Where are you from?
Varney: Hull, MA.

Patch: What do you like about working in downtown Kent?
Varney: I can walk to work, which is fantastic. And I'e always wanted to live in a city, and I like the community feel of Kent too, so I feel like I get both working here.
