Editor's note: Kent Patch's new series Downtown Jobs spotlights the hundreds of new workers brought to downtown Kent via the city's more than $100 million redevelopment.

Today we introduce you to Jen Saralino of Fresco Mexican Grill and Salsa Bar.

Kent Patch
: What’s your job title, and is it a full or part-time position?

Jen Saralino: Cashier, runner, cook. I'm everything. It's part-time.

Patch
: What is your hometown?

Saralino: Hudson, OH.

Patch
: What brought you to Kent?

Saralino: I transferred to Kent State University for their education program from John Carroll University.

Patch: What is your favorite thing about working downtown?

Saralino: I love that it's within walking distance of campus, and it's got just a good vibe. A lot of different people come in and it's fun to see the variety.

Patch: Where's your favorite place to eat downtown?

Saralino: I don't really eat downtown, so I just have to say Fresco.

Patch: What’s one thing most people might be surprised to learn about you?

Saralino: I have seven dogs, all shitzus. My mom loves them, and when my siblings and I went off to college she decided she needed to take care of someone, so she got all the dogs.

The food dosen't need any help. We were there on Saturday, the place was packed and the food was great!
