Building Permits: Acorn Alley II Build-Outs

Store spaces under construction for Acorn Alley II tenants in downtown Kent; all information is according to Kent's Community Development Department

A sure sign of progress on Acorn Alley II is the issuance of building permits for retailers moving in to downtown Kent's newest redevelopment project.

Brimfield-based Metis Construction, the contractor managing construction of the project for owner RLB Phoenix Properties, has filed for building permits for two retail spaces.

The permits and suite spaces are:

  • tenant space build-out, 175 E. Erie St. Suite 200, $41,000
  • Unidentified tenant space build-out, 175 E. Erie St., Suite 201, $28,000

 

Just across South DePeyster Street from Acorn Alley II, the demolition permit for 115 S. DePeyster St. shows PARTA paid $72,000 to demolish the former Car Parts Warehouse building to make way for the new Kent Central Gateway transit center.
