Movember: Before and After

Kent architecture firm David Sommers & Associates grows, cuts facial hair for a cause

To promote men's health, four members of the architecture firm in downtown Kent grew, and shaved, facial hair for "Movember."

Jeff Meyers, Sean Barbina, Eric Pros and Kevin Koogle took part in Movember, the month-long, national movement to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health issues.

For the month of November, all four men grew facial hair for four weeks. Koogle won the growth contest at the architecture firm, and a donation was made in his name to the Movember campaign.

"We wanted to contribute to the campaign financially, raise awareness of the importance of men’s health issues, and have fun seeing who could grow a mustache and/or beard the fastest,” said firm president, David Sommers, in a press release. "The guys really had fun, usually at each other’s expense, tracking the growth progress."
