Photos: Bicentennial Sculpture Dedicated, Bridge Birthday Celebrated

Celebrating a city art sculpture centerpiece

Kent unveiled its , created , at a ceremony Sunday afternoon downtown.

The sculpture, commissioned in 2006 as part of Kent's Bicentennial Celebration, will stand on park land between the restaurant and the downtown gazebo on Franklin Avenue.

The sculpture unveiling coincided with the marking of the opening of the Main Street Bridge on Sept. 25, 1877. The organized an event to mark the bridge's 134th birthday.
