Kent Reads with Jeff Wattles

On Thursday, April 5, 2012 Kent Reads features Jeff Wattles, associate professor of Philosophy at Kent State. Wattles will read from his book, The Golden Rule (Oxford University Press), a multicultural and interdisciplinary study of diverse meanings that arise as people apply the rule in the context of different problems. The book's chapters include studies of the golden rule in classical Confucianism, ancient Greek culture, classical Judaism, the New Testament, and medieval and modern thought. The book also covers contemporary psychology, philosophy, and religion. This reading is scheduled for April 5, which The United Nations has declared Golden Rule Day.

The Kent Reads series is a free event and is open to the public. Join us in the University Library. Light refreshments will be provided.
