ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Kathryn Musselman Tobasko (Mother) is a fiber artist and designer who has been designing custom clothing, accessories, costumes, masks and puppets for theatres, films and entertainers for more than 30 yrs. She is also a dealer and collector of vintage fashions, specializing in antique textile restoration and redesigning once loved garments into something new. She uses vintage and recycled materials in her creations and likes to add a touch of feminine whimsy and individuality to her work. Her hand bags and aprons often feature fabric prints of paintings by artist Vince Packard.

Aleata Illusion has been interested in photography since she was a child. The interest has grown and combined with her love of writing she chose to major in Photo Journalism at Kent State University. She leans towards surrealism and macabre and enjoys creating art that appears to be something beyond reality. She also paints, does altered art, writes screen plays and makes films with her own production company. She is an award winning horror movie blogger, writing online movie reviews and interviewing directors and actors on Gore Gore Dancer Movie Reviews. Aleata has also spent time at the other end of the camera as a model and has been featured on several web pages and in magazines.

Raven Schaffter believes in creating spiritual art and always starts with a clean canvas and a clear mind. She lets her imagination guide her through the painting to the finished product. She is inspired by Native American art and likes to create dream catchers in addition to altered art using furniture, lamp shades and clothing. Raven's main interest is in special effects make up artistry. She will be attending college in Texas this year and plans to have a career in FX make up.

Tiara Schaffter has loved drawing and painting her entire life. She won her first art award in first grade and continued showing her work and winning awards throughout her school years. She likes to paint with bright happy colors and puts excessively playful expression and imagination into her work. She also enjoys fashion design and tattooing and is an aspiring hair and make up artist. Tiara plans to create her own line of hair and make up products once she has completed cosmetology school.
