Year-Long Parking Closure on DePeyster in Effect

Construction on Kent State hotel forces closure until early 2013

The on-street parking on South DePeyster Street in downtown Kent closed Friday for more than a year.

About a half dozen parking spaces on the section of the street between Haymaker Parkway and Erie Street are closed due to .

The hotel is expected to open in the spring of 2013, and the parking spaces will remain closed until then.

There is additional for free, all day on Franklin Avenue between Summit Street and College Avenue.
