Lose Your Dog? Looking to Adopt? Check the City Kennel

Most dogs impounded were either lost or, if unclaimed, are available for adoption

Many Kent residents looking for a new dog — or a lost pet — may not know the city's kennel is one of the best places to look first.

Located on Plum Street near , the city kennel serves as an impound for loose dogs reported to the city's animal control officer.

So if you're missing your dog, the kennel is a good place to check. And if you're looking for a new pup, many of the dogs at the kennel who are unclaimed are available for adoption.

Not all dogs can be adopted due to temperament, but you can call the and talk with the animal control officer to find out at 330-673-7732. The kennel is open for claiming your lost dog or adopting a new one during daylight hours.
