Last Stretch of Crain Avenue to be Resurfaced

Street to get new pavement from new bridge construction to North Willow Street

The section of Crain Avenue that was left out of will get a fresh coat of asphalt this year.

The city is planning to repave the section of the street from the new intersection at North Water Street east to the intersection with North Willow Street.

The work is expected to cost $103,000, but the city is applying to the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) for 80 percent of the cost, which is up to $82,400. The city would be responsible for the remaining $20,600 paving cost.
