Kent Video Contest Deadline Extended

Residents, students have until end of month to show why downtown Kent is 'fun'

A video contest meant to highlight downtown Kent has been extended due to a lack of submissions.

Main Street Kent announced this summer with the goal of receiving submissions that show why downtown Kent is a fun place to visit.

Wednesday the non-profit organization announced the deadline for submissions — originally Friday, Sept. 30 — has been pushed back to Oct. 31.

Submissions are encouraged to include footage of shops and restaurants from downtown. They should also incorporate the Main Street Kent slogan, "Everyone's downtown," as well as the Main Street Kent logo, which is available here.

Each submission should be no more than three minutes in length. Videos should be posted on the Main Street Kent Facebook page.
