Erie Street to Close Downtown for Transit Center Construction

Starting Monday, a portion of Erie Street in downtown Kent will be closed for construction of 's .

Erie Street will close between South DePeyster Street and Haymaker Parkway. The dead-end portion of the road will be closed for the duration of construction, which could last into early 2013.

After construction is finished, Erie Street will be reopened at Haymaker Parkway where Kent State University's Esplanade will extend across the five-lane state route.
