Kent Resident Named Director of Degree Program at Northeast Ohio Medical University
Denise Inman, Ph.D., assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences in the College of Pharmacy at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), has been named director of the integrated pharmaceutical medicine degree program in the NEOMED College of Graduate Studies.
In her role as director, Inman will have academic oversight of the integrated pharmaceutical medicine program, reviewing and developing coursework, recommending policy and programmatic changes, and assisting faculty and staff in mentoring and training students. She will also lead recruitment, advising and enrollment efforts for the program.
The integrated pharmaceutical medicine program, which offers master’s and doctoral degree tracks, is designed to train the next generation of scientists and scholars, spanning an understanding of drug discovery, development, formulation, delivery and evaluation disease targeting.
Inman earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in neuroscience from the University of Virginia and completed postdoctoral training at both the University of California and the University of Washington. Her research investigates the mechanisms of glaucoma with a focus on the role of glia. She currently resides in Kent, Ohio.
