KENT, OHIO —The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the appointment of Chris Bast to treasurer.
Joe Paul, Davey’s Chief Financial Officer and secretary, said Bast is enthusiastic about joining the Davey Tree team as treasurer. “Chris brings solid experience in the treasury, audit, investor relations and operations areas with him to Davey Tree,” said Paul. “He is excited to begin working and learning from the various groups at Davey, and he is dedicated to help the company reach its strategic goals.”
Bast joined Davey Tree after a 19-year career with Diebold, Incorporated, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, Bast was senior director of North America Finance for the electronic security division at Diebold.
Bast is a certified public accountant and a certified treasury professional. He is affiliated with the Risk Management Society (RIMS), and he has an undergraduate degree in accounting and business management from Kent State University.
