Rough Riders Lacrosse Victorious on Emotional Night
Win dedicated to the memory of Adam Hamilton
The Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders Lacrosse team is now 2-0 after beating the Kenston Bombers 14-5 on . Nearly 20 alumni, all of whom played with Adam Hamilton, joined the presentation in which Adam's family was presented with a frame containing his game-worn jerseys (see picture).
The Riders jumped to an early 6-2 lead in the first quarter and never let go from there. Kyle Manning led the scoring with 4 goals. Other contributers were Pat Valerius (3 goals, 2 assists), Bobby Danner (3 goals, 1 assist), Tommy Fisher (2 goals), Troy Haren (1 goal, 4 assists, 5 ground balls), Brady Weber (1 goal), Kevin Rodgers (1 assist), Eli Kepner (6 ground balls), and Jared Fischer, who earned his second career victory in goal with 6 saves.
Kent plays Revere at home on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
