The Center for Student Involvement and Kent State University Athletics welcome Kyle Maynard to campus Nov. 8. Kyle will be presenting his program, "NO EXCUSES" at 7 p.m. in the Cartwright Hall Auditorium. He is a motivational speaker, author, entrepreneur and athlete. He wrestled for one of the top teams in the Southeast, set records in weightlifting, fought in mixed martial arts, owns his own CrossFit gym, and recently climbed to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Kyle was also born a congential amputee with arms that end at his elbows and legs that end near his knees. He has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, ESPN Sportscenter, Larry King Live, and 20/20, among many others. In 2005, he authored his own book titled NO EXCUSES. Seats for Kyle's presentation will be first come, first served. Doors will open at 6 p.m. It is highly recommended that you arrive early to grab a seat.
