 Kent will hold the 66th annual President&rsquo\;s Banquet at NEOMED Conf
 erence and Event Center in Rootstown. The Cost is $20.00 per person for 
 the banquet\, with a cash bar\; call Harold at 330-673-1686 to reserve. 
 The public is welcome. The program will include remembrances of members 
 for 2012\, and awards: Gardener of the Year\, Lifetime Achievement\, Ser
 vice\, Horticulture\, Friends of The Garden Club of Kent\, and the Paul 
 and Leah Houser Community Beautification Award. Created in 1999\, the Ho
 user Award honors the memory of Paul and Leah Houser of Kent and promote
 s community beautification. The award goes to an individual\, business\,
  or organization that makes exceptional contributions toward the beautif
 ication of Portage County communities - with emphasis on Kent. This year
  the award will go to the Ron Burbick Foundation for their considerable 
 renovation and new construction in downtown Kent.
