A portion of South Water Street will close downtown this weekend for water main construction.

South Water Street, between College Avenue and Main Street, will close Sunday starting at 4 p.m. The section of road is scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. Monday, June 4.

Access to businesses will be maintained during the road closure, but no on-street parking or through traffic will be permitted.

The city recommended detour is to use Franklin Avenue to get to College Street from either Main or Summit streets.
