Workers continued pouring the concrete foundations for the Fairmount Properties downtown redevelopment Building "B" on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011.

Construction is progressing on the foundation for Fairmount Properties Building "B," which is part of the downtown redevelopment project.

Workers poured the concrete foundation for the bew building this week. The second of three buildings, Building "B" will mostly house about 80 employees from AMETEK, who are moving from their Lake Street site to occupy about 40,000 square feet in the downtown project. The building will stand on Erie Street facing Acorn Alley II.

The steel frame for Building "A," which will include corporate tenant Davey Resource Group, is alreading taking its place as part of Kent's skyline.
